ok, so if you’re nerdy enough to be reading this blog, you are already familiar with flickr, the poster child of the interactive, navel-gazing world of web 2.0. And it is a great service.

In comes flickrvision, a neat site that shows you recent uploads to flickr, and plots the location of the uploader on Google Maps, based on their flickr account information. What could be more fun than that? Make it into a screensaver.

Great success! and congratulations to l-dopans Carrie and Josh, who got hitched last night in a gorgeous ceremony performed inside the Red Barn at Hampshire College. A great time was had by all — and of course, I gave them my traditional wedding gift: a sampler pack of illegal fireworks. I was going to also include a set of “his & hers” ninja stars, but I ran out of time, they’ll just have to wait for those as anniversary presents.

Behold: The non-awaited return of my crittercam. Witness the wacky antics of my two guinea pigs, Shaun and Danny (the boys), or my two rabbits, Sparks and Nutley (the girls). When in a cage together, Shaun and Danny will run around in circles and try to hump each other. I plan to videotape this and set it to the Benny Hill theme. For now you can see them pine for each other behind their respective bars, hoping to join each other for homoerotic pig love.

The Chernobyl nuclear disaster happened on April 26, 1986; the day before my twelfth birthday (although I don’t remember it at all of course, I was too busy riding my bike and fighting with my little brother to notice).

A ghost town remains, and this crazy broad rides her motorcycle all around that mess and takes pictures. I recommend taking the tour.

Mitchell Baker is the CEO of the Mozilla Corporation, and is by all accounts a extremely smart and savvy woman. So what the f*ck is up with her hair? It’s like she lost a bet to an angry cubist hairdresser. If you’re going to go out and get the “Terry Gross“, go all the way — don’t get (literally!) halfway there and then wuss out.

I will give her this; as far as the haircuts of the open-source movement go, she’s still doing pretty good.
