speculative review: night at the museum

“Night at the Museum” looks like it very well might be the worst movie that either Ben Stiller or Robin Williams have ever done, and that’s really saying something. How could it have been written by Dangle and Travis Junior?

I liked Toys! And Death to Smoochy made up for years of crap that he made.

I believe that Ben Garant and Tom Lennon write all their crappy big budget movies to support their debilitating addiction to contextually oversized explosions for Reno 911! Of course, I support their addiction because having a jet ski crash into an RV* and having the result look like Hiroshima without having to use stock footage is something I find hilarious.
*Tom, you forgot “RV”

I loved that episode.
Could it be that Trudi is no longer my favorite character, but Dangle is?

Hey, I just read a Providence Journal review of this movie and the Arts Writer gave it four out of four stars.
I think that pretty much says it all.

Are you sure the reviewer wasn’t rating some new DVD release of “A Night at the Opera”?

The SFGate gave it a good review, too.

In the case of the Chronicle I think they probably are just trying to be nice. ‘Tis the season and all. As for the ProJo, well, that’s par for the course. I use their reviews as a negative gauge. Things they like I try to avoid and so on…
