I firmly believe that because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do something. It's a good lesson that would be helpful to everyone. Although because cell phones are small enough so they CAN fit entirely in an idiot's big mouth, it doesn't mean I SHOULD shove an idiot's cell phone in their mouth every time they abuse the technology. My phone makes no noises. I ignore it regularly when I'm busy. I don't know what's wrong with people who have to make noise and be distracted by things all the time, but this is easily solved by a reduction in assholery.
