litany of cellular sins

Cell Phones? Hell Phones!” is the worst title I’ve read in a while, but the author of this piece certainly nails exactly what is so very, very wrong with cell phone culture.~jeff

This is an odd thing to say, but I totally agree with Evan. My phone makes no noises. I ignore it regularly when I’m busy. I don’t know what’s wrong with people who have to make noise and be distracted by things all the time, but this is easily solved by a reduction in assholery.

I leave my cell on vibrate, and usually try to avoid speaking on the phone unless I can easily walk to where I won’t be bothering others. So I agree with Joshua and Evan, it’s the people that are the source of broken plans, and loudness, and general rude behavior, so—

    hang on…

    I gotta take this call.

If I agree with both Evan and Josh, will my head explode? I firmly believe that because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you SHOULD do something. It’s a good lesson that would be helpful to everyone. Although because cell phones are small enough so they CAN fit entirely in an idiot’s big mouth, it doesn’t mean I SHOULD shove an idiot’s cell phone in their mouth every time they abuse the technology. But I’d like to.
