Sometimes I worry that the stuff I write is so dark it would just piss me off if I were the one reading it, but I guess some people are into that sort of thing, hence the success of The Ruins (which I've been seeing everywhere). Interesting how people's writing and their taste in reading materials can be so different, sort of like how Alan Ball (American Beauty, Six Feet Under) really loves South Park.
