Comments on: new mac ads

Although the new commercials are funny as hell, they are not entirely correct. I’ve worked on both Macs and Windows since the late 90s. My notebook pc I’ve had since 2002 and has been a 10+ hour daily work horse. I never saw the blue screen of death, and crashed much less than my former Macs. I burned through three Macs in four years at my previous job, it was so hindering. Now that Macs can host Windows, why the hell would I spend $500 more for a Mac? I do videos, photos, and my better half has played shows with the PC. It has all the bells and whistles and more than of a Mac. I’ve been to more electronic shows where Macs kept messing in competition with a PC.

Look, Macs are good and are sleeker, but sorry, PCs are way better.

All, I’m saying is Apple’s gone the way, as far as coporate whoredome goes, of Microsoft. Buy small company, flush, repeat. They need to stop acting like they’re doing something better than the Windows/Intel platform, and really fucking do it. At this point, Apple is really only a hype machine as far as I’m concerned. They might as well change their name to iPod and move the fuck on.

I’m late commenting, but I have to say all of these ads make me want to stop using my Mac. They’re just so obnoxious. One can show some of the cool OS stuff in 30 seconds, yes? Why beat a dead stereotype?
Also, that smug fucker does NOT represent me. I’m much taller.

I thoroughly enjoyed the out of the box one, partially because it’s the first time I’ve heard someone rightfully complain about having demo software oem installed on a new system. What a horrible, ill concieved propaganda corporate conglomerative time wasting viral stupid idea.

I have to say that I approve of what Apple is doing, on the whole. Minus QuickTime. 75MB just to go from 7.1.0.99zzz to 7.1.1? Can’t have iTunes and QuickTime separately? No open source players? Thanks for recreating Windows Media Player, Apple.

I have to say this. I really like the Mac… I mean reaaallly. I hate Apple as a company, and I absotively hate Steve Jobs, which will forever stop me from buying a new Mac or wanting to be associated with one. I don’t like the fake marketing veneer Apple has over it’s capitalistic, candy coated, corporate center. Because of their ad campaigns, and marketing I find Apple to be completely full of shit and untrustworthy as a company.
