the olpc has ears

MIT’s 100$ laptop is looking weirder and weirder; not that that’s necessarily a bad thing, but aside from the orange color, the screen of the latest promotional material makes it look like the laptop contains kids trapped in the phantom zone.

    I like it. It sort of looks like a Speak and Spell now. The ears seem to be port covers, which is probably a good idea when it comes to dust-storm-prone countries. But what’d they do with the wind-up handle? That was like, the coolest part.
