Where is the fitment device for this steam ball technology I keep hearing so much about?

Were you as disappointed with that movie as I was? We saw Steamboy and Howl’s Moving Castle in short order and were really disappointed by them. I wonder if they got edited to shit or something. I mean, fucking Katsuhiro Otomo and Hayao Miyazaki should have a hard time making anything that’s not awesome.

    I was disappointed.
We saw the “director’s cut”(Japanese version), and the only positive thing I took away from it was the phrase “STEEEEEEEEAM BOYYYYYY!” which I like to intone during a hot shower.

Incidentally, we saw “Howl’s” last night. Not as boring, but just as disappointing. Still and all, Miyazaki gets lifetime props from me. I’d queue up to see a movie on the Dewey Decimal System if he animated it.

Oh, I’m with you. I just hope those two are the nadir of those creators’ careers.

A dream interrupted: Lone Wolf and Cub = Toshiro Mifune, R.I.P; there can be only one.

Steamboy was born to suck, unfortunately. Howl’s Castle was a personal work, maybe indulgently so. However, if you’re a Miyazaki fan it makes sense; go back to Totoro and then review. If you are American otaku it might be confusing if you and started with Mononoke or Spirited Away.

Please, get out from behind yourselves (for a moment) and take a larger view. And yes, I meant it that way, you dirty boy.
