Open up, Sony!...

Yes, you invented the Walkman. Yes, it was a brilliant invention on which you’ve capitalized for decades now, often innovating beautifully.
Do you really think it would have flown if you’d made up your own cassette tape and headphone plug?

No shit! Thanks, JP, that's really interesting.

(reads...) Oh, they actually invented the stereo version. It had existed in mono form for little in-ear speakers, like hearing aids and transistor radios. So what they did was make a backward compatible innovation.

Evan, yeah, I know what a platformer is. It's totally not what those games are that I mentioned. Oh, and how could I have forgotten Super Monkey Ball 2? Particularly with its superfun mini games, Monkey Boxing and Monkey Glider?

For what it's worth (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headphones/), Sony, wth the Walkman, were the first to use the 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone jack. They just keep hoping 1979 is going to happen again.

Are... you... we...

What?

Pikmin! Metroid! Mario Kart!

And did I say Pikmin enough times?

And let I be unclear, it's Pikmin 2 I'm talking about. Pikmin 1 was good, but it lacked the single best thing about games — playing with your friends. But Pikmin 2 is terrible amounts of fun. The handicap system makes it so Jeff and I can actually play on even ground, even though the game belongs to him and Jonny forced him to play it for 22 hours a day for a month while they were, uh, "cohabitating".

I think you've confused the Nintendo Game Cube with the Intellivision.

The only think I don't love about Nintendo thus far has been the lack of quality games except for platformers on the Game Cube. I can't wait for their next console though.

Boy, somebody's not afraid to drop the f-bomb... JOSH.

Conversely, Nintendo has just announced that instead of more proprietary memory cards and weird-ass storage like that, their next console will just use USB Mass Storage devices... like flash keychains. Or USB hard drives. Or iPods.

SIGH. Nintendo rocks so hard these days. Jeff + Nintendo = TLF
