Unity looks stunningly awesome, but has anyone used it to do anything vaguely interesting besides Gooball? I can’t get into their Dashboard widget games on my mac, the performance is teh suck.
Unity only came out a few months ago so no one had time to make large scale games with it… several projects are underway, so don’t worry: it’s very flexible.
As to the Dashboard Widget games, there is a performance problem that we can’t work around with them (because of weird-and-wonderful ways the Dashboard screws around with OpenGL)… did you try the full-screen button (or cmd-f for short)? That should help a bit… also not all of them were made with performance in mind … to say the least :)
… what machine are you using? When I overload my machine RAM-wise, no games (including Unity) run properly.
Anyway, thanks for the mention: have you tried to play with Unity?
