Seriously, what a great teacher. Those kids are lucky; a lot of schools don’t even *have* band anymore. And, technically speaking, what a great transcriber; most of it is easily digestible loops, but that drum break 1:50 in is pretty damn tricky.

I stumbled across this today and loved it. It’s a high school band’s live performance of DJ Shadow’s “Building Steam With a Grain of Salt”. A great track being very nicely interpreted by a bunch of teen “band geeks”. ;-)Check it out.You’ll need windows media player. This made me smile and it’s not even 8am on a Monday yet.
