My friend Josh makes some cool beep sounds. This one, I believe, is a sine wave lovingly shaped, enveloped and modeled into one of those soothing sounds you hear in the airport, when they are trying their best to calm you down and curtail your inevitable air rage. And it works: I’ve been using the sound for years, and I have yet to experience any air rage, anywhere inside my apartment or otherwise.

Is this another plea for more of them?
I had a whole sound set I made in college called Music For Sound Sets or something. I miiiIiiiIiiiight know where that hard drive is.
Anyway, yeah, lots of Eno on the brain.

That’s also the exact sound they play preceeding “We’re sorry you have activated Wal*Mart’s iventory control system. Please step back and wait for assistance.”
