50 top basslines of all time
I find it hard to believe that Bootsy didn’t get a single entry — not even an honorable mention for his lifelong dedication to star-shaped sunglasses? — but this list is still a very good list indeed.

Huh. Not a Jaco on the list.
I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t know more than a couple under #5 or so. But it sure makes me want to go out and buy music.

I was trying to figure out what I hated most about this list when it hit me like prison rape: “Oh yeah,.. it’s a list!.. a fuckin ‘of all time’ list, at that”. I don’t know whether i should be pleading that they put the pipe down or pick it up. “All-Time” lists are like reality television. When you are out of things to do and completely without a thing left to say,.. make a list. Then sit back and watch folks piss and moan about it as if it was worth a fucking dime. I’m sorry if this was the part where I was supposed to jack off ot the sight of my own words as I listed the omissions that frustrated and infuriated me the most,.. getting a little bit longer and stronger as each one is more clever than the last,.. but I’m at work, damn it,.. so that’s just gonna have to wait.
